NON-CALVINISTS & NON-ARMINIANS

The SBC Calvinists have bent over backwards not to stereotype their Arminian opposing brethren by allowing them to identify themselves as NON-CALVINISTS.

We at chadwickivester feel that what is good for the goose is good for the gander . . . henceforth,  chadwickivester will be known as the SBC’s first NON-ARMINIAN blog. ;)

Selah,

chadwick

    Chadwick,

I love it!! Let me pose another(s)…

    The NON-glossolalic OR NON-cessational

    The NON-confessional OR NON-accountable…

    Just some thoughts.

    SOLA GRATIA!

  5. Dear Chadwick,

Let’s see. So you are now officially a Non-Arminian blog. Welcome to my neighborhood. We’ve been around a bit but, what the hey: We’re delighted to have you!

Only, I’m unsure you will be comfortable here. For just because you proclaim yourself Non-Arminian as do we, we feel your desire for all things Dort will sap your happiness clean away. Hardly any of us here sing Dort’s song. Come to think of it, neither do we harmonize with old JA. That’s why, of course, we attempt to say:

All Arminians are NonCalvinists but not all NonCalvinists are Arminians. We think that makes sense.

    Let’s try yours out:

All Calvinists are NonArminians but not all NonArminians are Calvinists. Yep. It makes sense to me.

Nonetheless, it also shows the necessity of the category of NonCalvinists. For who are those NonArminians who are not Calvinists? I’ll give you one guess.

Interestingly, if we started with say Arminians and NonArminians, as you seem to do, we still end up with the same loaf of bread:

Presently, we note Arminians, Calvinists, NonCalvinists. But with your new official alignment, Chadwick, in one category there’d be Arminians. On the other side would exist NonArminians. In the NonArminians, there’d be two subgroups, one of which is Calvinists. I’ll give you one guess who the other would be…Times, up–NonCalvinists.

Anyways, Welcome Chadwick! Grace. With that, I am…

    Peter

    Dr. Lumpkins,

Sorry for imposing chadwickivester as the FIRST NON-ARMINIAN blog. ;) I recant!

I guess this blog has become a subsidiary of the Non-Arminian Camp.

    How about these stereotypes:

    “General” stereotype:

    * chadwickivester & peterlumpkins are both NON-ARMINIAN blogs.
    * Both are premiere NON-BURLESONITE blogs.

    “Particular” stereotype:
chadwickivester: The NON-PETER LUMPKINS BRANCH of the NON-ARMINIAN CAMP blog. :D (but both branches of the NON-ARMINIAN CAMP are NON-BURLESONITE). ;)

    . . . and the stereotype hair-splitting has begun . . .

  8. Chadwick,

You, my friend, are the reason I’m going to the office today. I haven’t laughed so good in a while. Makes me want to get up and do something! Thank you! :^0

And, know, albeit some minor differences elsewhere, I am forever your Co-belligerent on Mission in remaining a staunch Nonburlesonite Blog! Shaking on it while continuing to snigger…

    With that, I am…

    Peter

  9. By the way,

You really need to put up a poster on your

‘The NON-PETER LUMPKINS BRANCH of the NON-ARMINIAN CAMP blog. :D (but both branches of the NON-ARMINIAN CAMP are NON-BURLESONITE). ;) ’ etc.

It’d be a great link Laughing still,

    With that, I am…

    Peter

  10. Steve Says:

AAAAAhhhh but dear peter one must discern between the Dortian non arminians and the calvinistic nonarminians. I think in fit there.. So I am non arminian, non Lumpkinsite Non ivester Grose calvinistic (the soft type .. and not because my stomach is alrger than my shoulders, although it is.) but hold on.. I am non burlesonite as well….
as wait… are most baptists world wide!
So does non Burlesonite really qualitfy as a category, since Burlesonites now number only a rabid few?
    Steve

  11. Steve,

Thanks for the word. I’m wondering though if there is enough difference to warrant distinction between Dortian-NonArminian and Calvinist NonArminian. Is there really such an animal as nonDortian Calvinist when the skinny lady sings?

That’s a question to ponder from a NonCalvinist perspective similarly, I’m sure, to Calvinists’ query into the justification of distinction between Arminian and NonCalvinist. You know, like our Chadwick has brought to surface here in his very funny spoof.

    Faith for you, my Grosey.

By the way, you’re no Samson. He would have decoded the hint about the sailing ship in a eye’s half bat.

Here you go: expect a box coming your way with a few goodies from one of the greatest living pulpiteers. What’s that? Why, of course, I thank you very much, but, no, it’s not me I’m talking about…

    With that, i am…

    Peter

  12. Steve Says:

Are you guys speaking non-english?? Chadwick I understood your point, but beyond that, show me to the remedial comments.

  13. Steve Says:

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaah thank you kind and gracious sir.. Thank you for sending me Tom Ascoll’s latest offerings. :)
    Steve

  14. Rhett Kelley Says:

    Chadwick,

Are you going to start an association of NON-Arminian SBC bloggers? If so, I’d like to join ASAP.

  15. chadwick Says:

    Bro. Rhett,

Let it be known to the whole world that you are the first Non-Arminian to join my new association of Non-Arminian SBC bloggers.

    Welcome to the family!

    chadwick :D

  16. Steve Says:

I’d join too but I have arminian friends who i like… do I have to hate anyone to be a non arminian? I am not so keen on those guys who ring you from foreign countries to try and get you to switch phone companies… are they ok to hate?

    Steve

  17. chadwick Says:

    Steve,

    Join . . . Join . . . no hatred here . . . just come . . . I, too, have many “Non-Calvinist” friends.

    chadwick :D

  18. Steve Says:

    :) ok… i’m in!!!
nice to be in something…. now…. why I am I here all alone :(
    Steve
