david,
Kirby made a motion (amendment for the budget presentation) for the SCBC to go to 50/50 CP giving from the 60/40. The Baptist Building shot it down before it was presented . . . Kirby was told by some prominent pastors that they would speak for the motion . . . nobody spoke up . . . it was almost as bad as a public execution . . . I mean it was a public execution. Kirby is my hero . . . he is a martyr for the SBC!

chad,
kirby’s a good guy. he has a sweet family. it’s been years since i’ve seen kirby. we went to seminary together way back in the day. i’m sorry that he was left out to dry. i wished that s. carolina baptist would have gone to this giving percentage.
